What to Wear

Simple clothing is best; avoid patterns, spots, stripes and logos, as these can be distracting in your finished portrait.

Wear matching and complementary colours in the same tones. White, black or light blue tops always look great.

Most of our portraits are taken bare foot; so don’t worry about your choice of footwear.

When choosing colours for trousers and skirts in group portraits, try to co-ordinate these. Black or all denim works well.

Babies under 10 months old look best just in their nappy wrapped in a white towel, which we will provide.

Most importantly wear clothes you are comfortable in and want to be seen in!

Wright Studios is a photograhic studio based in Sawbridgeworth in Hertfordshire.

Operating from a well-equipped studio, we are looking to serve clients throughout the UK. We have many years experience in the photographic industry and we specialise in producing modern, crisp, clean imagery that will enhance and promote yourself, your company, or your product.

Equipped with the very latest in high quality digital cameras, with the emphasis on image quality, client service and you the customer.The studio is about 800 square feet and offers a range of different sets, back drops.Changing room, wc and dining facilities well a good old cafe next door!!!

Hair and make up can be arranged and must be made on the day of the booking, prices may vary.

We had a very difficult decision on our hands after so many beautiful images were submitted, but I'm sure you agree the Swift daughters picture is outstanding.

Thank you to all the families fairies and elves who participated in our promotion and you have helped to raise much needed and worthy funds for St Clare Hospice.

Midnight Walk

Wright Studios are supporting St Clare Hospice Midnight Walk. Join the walk now!

This year the Midnight Walk is taking place on Saturday 20th June 2009. They are looking for 1,500 people taking part raising over £120,000 to contribute towards the £2.5 million the Hospice needs every year to provide free of charge care to its patients and their families in West Essex and East Hertfordshire.

How long is the Walk?

The Midnight Walk follows a 10k (roughly 6.3 miles) circular route through the streets of Harlow. This year's route is slightly different to last year's route due to road works in Harlow. They recommend that you do some training walks prior to the event to prepare yourself. For safety reasons you will use some underpasses through Harlow so be prepared to also walk up and down stairs. The route will be marshalled by staff, volunteers and police with Red Cross and Raynet communication support. Sign-in registration begins at 8.30pm in the Asda car park in the Water Gardens, the warm up starts at 10pm and the Walk will commence at 10.30pm. Last year the first walkers arrived back at the Water Gardens at 12.01am with the final walkers finishing at around 2am.

What is boudoir?

To me, boudoir photography is about creating gorgeous, flattering, sexy and tasteful images of women, and showing them just how beautiful they really are! Too often we are bombarded with images in the media of size 0 models and actresses, and it is easy to lose sight of our own beauty. Beauty is not about perfection, plastic surgery and drastic diets.... and our aim is to show that with help of some great lighting and posing advice each and every woman is gorgeous in her own way.

Boudoir photography has been around for a long time now, but sometimes people get confused with glamour photography and the seedy connotations that genre has. But to me, great boudoir photography focuses on the women first and we always strive to create images that women themselves will love and be proud of.

The best thing about boudoir is how empowering it is. Think of the TV programme 'How to Look Good Naked' and how the women feel at the end when they're able to see how beautiful they truly are. That is our aim with each and every boudoir shoot we do!

conscious of the need for something different - the skill and
professional acumen in obtaining a natural portrait of our daughters was
absolutely superb. The follow up session booked completely at our
convenience was offered with immaculate attention to detail in a relaxed
and very accommodating environment that added to an already highly
pleasurable experience. - Information / advice and a myriad of
possibilities in presenting our portraits was offered with ease and an
acute awareness of the remit discussed beforehand.
