What is boudoir?

To me, boudoir photography is about creating gorgeous, flattering, sexy and tasteful images of women, and showing them just how beautiful they really are! Too often we are bombarded with images in the media of size 0 models and actresses, and it is easy to lose sight of our own beauty. Beauty is not about perfection, plastic surgery and drastic diets.... and our aim is to show that with help of some great lighting and posing advice each and every woman is gorgeous in her own way.

Boudoir photography has been around for a long time now, but sometimes people get confused with glamour photography and the seedy connotations that genre has. But to me, great boudoir photography focuses on the women first and we always strive to create images that women themselves will love and be proud of.

The best thing about boudoir is how empowering it is. Think of the TV programme 'How to Look Good Naked' and how the women feel at the end when they're able to see how beautiful they truly are. That is our aim with each and every boudoir shoot we do!
